Rep. Meadows' Statement on FBI Investigation of Hillary Clinton

Washington, D.C. – On Friday, FBI Director James Comey announced that the FBI has learned of new emails that are “pertinent to the investigation” of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, released the following statement:

“The more information we learn about Secretary Clinton’s private email server, the more it becomes clear that she and her State Department officials were reckless with classified information, endangered our national security, and deliberately misled federal investigators to cover up their wrongdoings. In light of Director Comey’s announcement, I look forward to working with Chairman Chaffetz and my colleagues in the House Oversight Committee to get to the truth. In our great country, no one should be above the law.”
