Congressman Tom Marino

Representing the 10th District of Pennsylvania

Homeland Security, Military & Veterans

As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, I am dedicated to ensuring that the lives of Americans are protected in the United States and abroad. With a rise in terrorist attacks throughout the world and with many threats of attacks on American soil, the Committee on Homeland Security carefully evaluates every threat and does everything within its power to keep America safe. I will continue to work with my colleagues on the Homeland Security Committee to keep you safe from threats both foreign and domestic.

Defense & Military

The United States military is the most powerful force for good in the world and ensures peace through strength.  It also allows us to respond to security threats around the world if the United States’ security is threatened.  We must ensure that our military continues to advance into the 21st century by providing the most technologically advanced and most capable military hardware available.  If we decide to send American troops into harm’s way, I want to ensure that we have provided them with the best possible equipment.

Veterans

I take my responsibility to the veterans of Pennsylvania’s 10th district and the rest of the United States very seriously.  Our military veterans are some of the bravest men and women in the United States, I am always humbled by those who defended the freedom of all American’s.  It is a disgrace that politicians and the Federal Government frequently fail our veterans when it comes to promises that have been made to them, especially when it comes to healthcare services.  I have consistently advocated for more accountability from the Department of Veterans Affairs and will continue to push for meaningful reforms so that our veterans get the care they deserve.
