Each year, I host an appreciation luncheon for Memphis veterans because they are among the bravest and hardest working men and women in our nation, and words alone cannot express the gratitude I and our nation owe them for the dedication and sacrifice they've made in service to our country. My annual luncheon is also a time to thank their families because I know that they too have made many sacrifices. We cannot say “thank you” often enough.
