Our hearts ache today, as another one of our nation's cops was gunned down- this time in Orlando, Florida. Today is also National #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay, and we should pray for our cops who keep us safe and for their families who worry every day if their loved ones will return home after a shift on the beat. And of course, if you see a cop on the street, thank them for all that they do.

Many elements of our housing market need to be made to work for all Wisconsinites—rural families, in particular, have been left behind. I look forward to working with Dr. Carson to bring much needed change to HUD and to improve housing for all. I’ll defend Wisconsin taxpayers as we reform National Flood Insurance, the FHA, and other programs. I’ll also ensure that the Wisconsin insurance industry, an important engine of our state’s economy, has a strong voice in Congress.

You can't milk an almond or a seed. That's why I urge the FDA to enforce the definition of milk- that it comes from cows! I recently spoke with WSAW NewsChannel 7 about how other products should not be able to mislead the public and identify as milk- consumers and our dairy farmers deserve this clarification.

ISIS has said they are willing to exploit our acceptance of refugees.
That's why today I wrote President Obama, demanding that before he allows any refugees from places with a high terror threat (like Syria) he must declassify the vetting process used for allowing Syrian refugees into the U.S., and that he assures the public that new refugees pose no threat to the American people.
