FY2016 Appropriations Requests

Please find Congresswoman Sewell's fiscal year 2016 (FY16) appropriations request below.

Language Requests: a request to include specific bill or report language that does not direct funding to a particular entity but encourages, urges, or directs some type of action by an agency

Programmatic Requests: a request to fund a specific Federal program at a specified level

You will need to complete this form by Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.  If you have multiple requests please include all of the required information on a separate form. 

As with previous years, earmarks have been banned, so only programmatic, bill, and report language requests are acceptable.

The House Rules define an earmark as --

a provision or report language included primarily at the request of a Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, or Senator providing, authorizing or recommending a specific amount of discretionary budget authority, credit authority, or other spending authority for a contract, loan, loan guarantee, grant, loan authority, or other expenditure with or to an entity, or targeted to a specific State, locality or Congressional district, other than through a statutory or administrative formula-driven or competitive award process.

These requests will not be accepted.

The President's FY16 budget was also recently released. Please use it as a reference in preparing your submission. It will help you easily find information regarding your federal programs of interest.
