Congressional Art Competition

Each year the Congressional Art Competition, “An Artistic Discovery,” is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize and encourage the artistic talent around the nation and specifically in each member’s congressional district. This competition is open to all high-school students and the winner’s art piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

There are three important forms to be included with each student’s art submission: the student art submission checklist, the student guidelines and the student release form. You can find these forms on the Congressional Art Competition website here.  The Fourth District winner, along with one guest, will be flown to Washington, D.C. for the congressional celebration courtesy of Southwest Airlines.

All artwork must be submitted and received by Monday, April 4, 2016 by 5:00pm ct.  All artwork should be hand delivered or mailed to my Sioux City office located at 526 Nebraska Street Sioux City, Iowa 51101. All entries submitted must be original in concept, design and execution.
