Washington, DC is filled with history, art, music and culture and while many sites are open to the public, a few places require a reservation.

If you are planning a trip to our Nation’s Capital, our office can help New Jerseyans set up tours of the Capitol Building, the White House, the Library of Congress, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

  • U.S. Capitol Building

     U.S. Capitol Building

    Bob’s office can accommodate staff-led tours of the Capitol Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., depending on staff availability. Our office can also provide you with passes to the Senate Visitor’s Gallery to observe business in the Senate chamber when the Senate is in session.

    Public tours of the Capitol can also be arranged through the Capitol Visitor Center, or CVC,  8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Same-day tickets are also available.

  • White House

     White House

    Tour requests of the White House require at least three months advance notice and we strongly recommend you contact our office as close to four months in advance of your trip as possible. 

    These self-guided tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Please make sure you are available during these times because the White House Visitors Office chooses the best available time to accommodate your group.

    You will be sent an RSVP link to be filled out by the deadline with the security information of every guest.

    The White House Visitors Office accommodates tours on a first come, first serve basis, offering a limited number of tickets. Our office is notified two weeks in advance of the requested tour date whether the White House can accommodate your request.

  • Library of Congress

     Library of Congress

    Bob’s office can request reserved tickets for public tours at the Library of Congress. The Library of Congress offers guided and self-guided tours of the historic Jefferson Building and its featured exhibitions. Tours are conducted Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    The Library of Congress asks that groups over ten or more make a reservation for a special tour and that guests arrive 15-20 minutes before public tours.

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation

    Federal Bureau of Investigation

    Bob’s staff can help you set up a visit to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Education Center. The Education Center is open Monday through Thursday at 9 or 10 am. The visit itself will take two hours and you should arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

    Please fill out the form for our office at least six weeks before your planned visit so our office can meet the FBI’s advanced-notice protocol and help plan your visit.

  • Bureau of Engraving and Printing

     Bureau of Engraving and Printing

    Public tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing are offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During peak season (March through August), tickets are required for all tours, and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The ticket booth is located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street), opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes when all tickets have been distributed.

    Our office can also arrange a limited number of tours of the Bureau for New Jerseyans. Because tours are limited and usually fill up several months in advance, it is strongly recommended that you submit your request at least three months in advance.
