The Fifth District encompasses parts of Jackson and Clay Counties, as well as all of Ray, Lafayette, and Saline Counties. This includes the communities of Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Raytown, Grandview, Sugar Creek, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, North Kansas City, Gladstone, Claycomo, Lawson, Richmond, Concordia, Higginsville, Lexington, Odessa, Marshall, Sweet Springs, and Slater, among others. I have been proud to serve the people of the place we call home for more than thirty years.
