WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), announced that the committee will hold a nomination hearing on Wednesday Jan. 18 at 10:00 AM for Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, whom President-elect Trump intends to nominate to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Barrasso made the announcement after meeting with Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-DE).

“Attorney General Pruitt’s confirmation hearing will be an opportunity to hear his vision for the agency,” said Barrasso. “It will give senators the chance to ask questions and to hear Mr. Pruitt’s plans on how to help the EPA meet its mission of protecting the environment while strengthening the economy.”
