Working For West Virginia
-
Help with a Federal Agency
My staff and I regularly work to assist West Virginia residents with issues they may face in their interactions with federal agencies.
-
Flag Requests
American flags are available for purchase through my office for special events, ceremonies, gifts or celebrations of achievement. Upon request, we can also have flags flown over the U.S. Capitol before sending them. A certificate from our office will accompany flags flown over the Capitol as a record of the event.
-
Visiting DC
Visiting Washington is an exciting and educational experience. My door is always open to you, so please don't hesitate to stop by my office to visit with me and my staff. In addition, my staff can serve as a resource to you in booking tours for your trip.
-
Internships
Internships in my Washington and Charleston offices offer college students an introduction to the United States Senate. Interns work alongside staff who are responsible for my administrative, legislative and press operations.
-
Academy Nominations
Each year, one of my most important responsibilities as your Senator is nominating young men and women for admission to our country’s service academies.
-
Federal Grants
My staff and I are eager to help eligible West Virginians to find information on federal grants, loans and nonfinancial assistance, as well as private funding.
