For the past 8 years, President Obama has used his pen and phone to create a fourth branch of government, imposing executive orders and federal rules and regulations to benefit his own radical political agenda.

Last week the American people spoke. You made it clear you want to get our economy moving again. President-elect Trump must have the opportunity to enact policies without regulatory hindrance from the previous Administration. It is time for a #betterway.

Missourians deserve to chose how they invest in their futures. It is time for a #betterway, which is why Republicans on the House Committee on Financial Services passed a repeal of the fiduciary rule with the #CHOICEact. I remain committed to fighting big government regulations in Washington.

The fiduciary rule is Obamacare for your retirement and only hurts those it claims to protect: low- and middle-income investors looking for sound savings advice. While President Obama chose to stand with big government liberals in Washington by vetoing my legislation to end the fiduciary rule, I am confident that our Republican-led Congress and President Trump will work together to end this egregious rule that targets the pocketbooks of Missouri families and all Americans.

House Republicans are threatening to unravel the Obama administration’s landmark retirement-savings rules, renewing the battle to stop the regulation before its implementation in April.

It has always been my strong belief that the very least we can do is show our brave veterans our deepest appreciation by providing them with the timely benefits and access to quality health care they have rightfully earned.

President John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” I am so proud that House Republicans are taking the appropriate steps to improve the VA system and provide veterans the care they deserve.

God bless our veterans and their families! #VeteransDay

As the daughter of a Korean War veteran, I grew up with a deep appreciation for our military men and women of all branches of our Nation’s Armed Services. November is Military Family Appreciation Month - I am very proud of my son Raymond, who recently earned his Army Ranger tab. I'm also so proud of my daughter-in-law Julia for her love and support as a military wife! As a military mom and daughter, I understand first-hand the sacrifices our men and women in uniform make each and every day.

So proud of my oldest son, Capt. Raymond Wagner, for earning his Ranger tab after completing Ranger School in Ft. Benning, GA . Ranger School consists of 9 grue...ling weeks of the most physically and mentally demanding leadership course the Army has to offer. Out of 358, only Raymond and 60 others made it straight through without recycling.

Please join me in congratulating Capt. Wagner and thanking all the brave Americans who protect our freedom!

This morning I was happy to address members of the MO Electric Co-ops as they join in St. Louis for their yearly meeting. While many of us don’t think about it on a regular basis, consider where we would be without the affordable, reliable power these men and women provide. They work tirelessly for our communities and ensure our families and businesses have the resources they need across the entire state, which is why I am working every day to help remove some of the burdens placed on them by big government regulations. For the past 80 years, members of AMEC have served as vital players in the strength and success of Missouri.

Halloween is Monday; use extra caution while driving during the hours of 4 and 9 pm. Here are a few tips:
· Drive slowly, and don’t pass stopped vehicl...es. The driver might be dropping off children.
· Put down your mobile phone. Avoid distractions by waiting until you’ve stopped to call, text, or surf. Get more mobile phone safety tips.
· Watch for children darting into the street. Kids can cross the street anywhere, and most young pedestrian deaths happen at spots other than intersections.
· Yield to young pedestrians. Children might not stop, either because they don’t see your vehicle approaching or don’t know how to safely cross the street.
· Communicate with other drivers. Always use your turn signals. And if you have to pull over to drop off or pick up your kids, turn on your hazard lights.
And, to keep your own trick-or-treaters safe:
· Teach them how to safely cross streets. They should look both ways and cross only at corners and crosswalks.
· Consider indoor community Halloween programs for younger kids. Some communities also offer to help you inspect your kids’ treats to make sure they’re safe to eat.
· Brighten them up. Give them flashlights and glow sticks, and/or use reflective tape on their costumes, so drivers can see them.

As part of my job, I’m able to visit with some of the most incredible people and places that St. Louis has to offer. On Friday I had the pleasure of visiting the Cardinal Kids Cancer Center, the pediatric oncology and hematology center at Mercy Children’s Hospital. Ryan and Beth Leslie, who lost their 13 year old son Caleb to Ewings Sarcoma last year, arranged the tour of this incredible center, where I met with so many little fighters, including Keira who served as my person...al guide. Childhood cancer is the leading killer of children in our country, yet it only receives 4 percent of funding from the National Cancer Institute’s research budget. The life years lost of children who die from pediatric cancer are immeasurable. Meeting these tough, brave children and speaking with their families, listening to their stories and witnessing their strength was incredible.

On Friday, Monsanto Company opened its new Greenhouses in Chesterfield Village, part of a $400 million expansion that will double its lab space and allow the company to continue its role as a world-class leader in research and development. Monsanto’s incredible contribution to helping farmers increase their harvests, conserve their resources and meet the ever-growing challenge of feeding the world, has allowed the St. Louis region to become a magnet for the biotech industry!

Yesterday I visited SixThirty, a company in St. Louis that uses technology in the financial services space, and helps small startups receive the investment, training, and networking they need for success. I was able to hear first-hand about the regulatory struggles these startups they face each and every day. With the St. Louis region being the fastest growing startup scene in the country, I was proud that my legislation, the Small Company Simple Registration Act, was signed into law last year and will help startups cut through some of the red tape placed on them by the Obama Administration.

This summer I was able to tour a number of farms, production and research facilities across Missouri and I heard over and over again just how bad President Obama's environmental regulations are hurting farmers and the entire agriculture industry. I was honored to be presented the Friends of Farm Bureau Award by President Blake Hurst today, and I remain committed to protecting our farmers and providing opportunities to grow, not hinder, our agricultural industry.

Thank you to the Bosnian community leaders who hosted me at the Bosnian Chamber of Commerce yesterday. With tens of thousands of Bosnians living in the St. Louis area, I enjoyed learning first-hand how I can best serve the Bosnian community in Congress. Many Bosnians living in St. Louis are small business owners who contribute to our region’s economy. A great example of a thriving Bosnian owned small business is the Berix in South County, where I enjoyed authentic Bosnian food and great conversation with Bosnian leaders!

It was such a pleasure to visit the students at Bayless High School today. I had the chance to meet with their student council and learn about the concerns of our nation’s future leaders. Also, I got the chance to talk with students in the floor laying apprenticeship program and shared some of the carpet laying expertise my father instilled in me when I worked at his store, Carpetime, as a kid. Thank you Principal Patrick McEvoy, Superintendent Ron Tucker and the students at Bayless for the invite.

This morning I spent some time getting to know Issac and Ashley, who live with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes and are Ambassadors for JDRF. They taught me how they use technology like their iPhone to help monitor their glucose levels, even while they sleep! I also met Lynn, who has been successfully managing her Type 1 diabetes for years now. I am so proud of these leaders who are making a difference every day by educating their communities about this disease.

There is a "person" using Ann's picture to scam people in MN out of ...money. I have reported the "person" but really think your people need to look into it. The name of this person is "Russell Lisa Gayle". This page claims to be a Grant Claims Agent and asks for victims to MoneyGram a small amount in order to receive a check for a larger amount via a "delivery agent and 2 Fed Ex officers". My mother was approached by these people and thankfully she stopped before giving out too much information. She has the messages if anyone in your camp is interested. See More
