WASHINGTON – Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) released the following statement after Congressman Sam Johnson (TX-03) announced he would not seek re-election at the end of the 115th Congress.
“Sam Johnson is a dedicated public servant and a loyal friend. His years spent in the Armed Forces and at the hands of the enemy at the Hanoi Hilton did not disillusion him. Like a true patriot, Sam came back fighting for our country, first in the Air Force, then later in Congress. One of the biggest privileges I’ve had in life is the opportunity to work with and get to know this American legend and hero.
