Headlines in recent weeks have highlighted some very disturbing practices and grave mismanagement within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The reports that numerous VA clinics have cooked the books and systematically disregarded the healthcare needs of our veterans are a disgrace and a disservice to the great men and women who have served our country.

In Florida’s 25th Congressional District, I have heard from many veterans who have had problems with the Miami VA Clinic, and have even heard about the unfortunate report of one veteran who lost his life while being treated there. I have also recently met with senior VA officials from the Miami clinic to discuss the personal reports of veterans in South Florida and to see what is being done to correct these failures. I am committed to making sure that the egregious wait times and overall systematic issues will be a thing of the past. To accomplish this, I want to hear from you.
