Internship Information

Congressional Internships provide an opportunity for young people who are interested in the legislative process to work in U.S. Rep. DeGette's Washington, D.C. or District offices.  Internships are available throughout the year to undergraduate and graduate students.  Candidates must be willing to commit to working at least three months for a minimum of 20 hours per week in an unpaid position.

The District Office focuses on helping constituents resolve problems with federal agencies, outreach into the community,  developing public events and working with various constituency groups. Interns in the District Office will have the opportunity to attend community meetings, help develop Congressional events, direct constituents to appropriate resources and provide project assistance to Congressional staff.
