Awards and Recognition

For his work in Congress on behalf of the First District, Congressman McKinley has been recognized with a number of awards since 2011. He has championed such initiatives as ensuring vulnerable patients can afford their prescription medicine, funding research for curing deadly diseases, and encouraging job growth. Immune Deficiency Foundation, Public Policy Award

For supporting legislation that will provide people with primary immunodeficiency diseases access to low cost treatments

American Society of Civil Engineers, Public Policy Award

This award recognizes distinguished civil engineers in public service for significant engineering contributions

National Association of Development Organizations, Congressional Partnership Award

Recognizes Members of Congress who exhibit outstanding leadership and support of federal regional development programs.

Chamber of Commerce, Spirit of Enterprise Award

This award is given to members of Congress based on key votes that support free markets and entrepreneurship

National Association of State Outdoor Recreation Liaison Officers, Presidents Award of Merit

Recognizes individuals or organizations that have contributed in positive manner to NASORLO and its’ constituents

 

Arthritis Foundation, Advocacy Leadership

Award

Acknowledges policymakers who have supported the Arthritis Foundation’s mission by advancing public policy and the Foundation’s legislative agenda

International Food Service Distribution Association, Thomas Jefferson Award

Honors Members of Congress who have demonstrated their commitment to free enterprise by their voting records on economic matters.

National Recreation & Park, Congressional Award of Merit

For leadership on promoting equity for the Land and Water Conservation Fund State and Local Assistance program.

National Capital Area Boy Scouts “Good Scout” Award

The Good Scout Award is presented to individuals that embody the values of the Scout Oath and Law in their life. Demonstration of these values should be evident at home, work, and interactions with others. One does not need to have been a Scout for selection but it helps.

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Good Citizenship Medal

Recognizes persons whose achievements are noteworthy in their school, community or state.

RetireSafe Standing Up for Amercia's Seniors Award (2011, 2012) Presented to elected officials whose actions benefit seniors throughout the nation.
Washington Coal Club Annual Achievement Award, 2011 Honoring an individual who has made a meaningful contribution to the coal community.
Friend of Farm Bureau, 112th Congress Award is based upon nomination by local Farm Boards and approval of the American Farm Bureau Federation.
