“I am pleased this legislation is now law, despite President Obama’s true allegiance. Near unanimous votes by the House and Senate weren’t convincing enough for the President to back the obvious will of the majority of Americans. His refusal to sign this bill sends a clear message that he is unwilling to stand up to our enemies -- just like those Senate Democrats who refused to support the House in blocking the Iran Deal in the first place. This is just one more reason why I look forward to the foreign policy of the incoming Trump Administration, which I know will give more support to our allies than our enemies.”
