If you live in the 6th Congressional District of Tennessee and are planning an upcoming trip to Washington D.C. my office is more than happy to help make the trip as memorable as possible! If you are unsure who your U.S. Representative is, you can verify here.
My office is able to submit requests on your behalf to tour the U.S. Capitol, White House, Library of Congress, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Kennedy Center, Supreme Court, and FBI Education Center. Please submit requests as soon as possible, and note that peak season is typically March - August. In general, we recommend submitting your requests 3-4 months in advance, sepcifically for the White House, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the Library of Congress.
If you have not heard back from our office within 3 days of submitting your request, please call my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-4231 to speak with a member of our staff.
Important Information Regarding White House Tours:
It is our pleasure to submit a request on your behalf to tour the White House, however, the White House Visitors Center is solely responsible for scheduling all tours, and these tours are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. The earlier the requests are submitted, the greater likelihood that your group will receive a favorable outcome. The White House Visitors Center receives a large volume of requests from all 535 congressional offices, which is why it is extremely important to submit your request 3-4 months in advance.

Q: I requested a tour of the White House 3 months in advance, why was my request denied?
A: Due to the high volume of requests that the White House Visitors Center receives it is not always able to accommodate every request. This is why it is important to request as early as possible.
Q: When will I hear back about my White House tour request?
A: The White House Visitors Center approves or denies tour requests about 2-3 weeks prior to the requested tour date(s).
Q: How much time should I allow to travel through security in the Capitol?
A: Allow about 30 minutes to travel through Capitol security. To expedite the process, please do not bring any liquids, food, or sharp items of any kind with you. These items are not allowed in the Capitol and security will dispose of them. If need be, you are more than welcome to store any of these items and other belongings in our office located in Longworth 1131!
Q: What if I miss my Capitol tour? Can I reschedule?
A: If you miss your Capitol tour, please come to our office. We are located in Longworth 1131 and a member of our staff will be able to assist you! You can also call our office at 202-225-4231 and ask for the tour coordinator.
Q:What if I need to cancel my previously schedule tours?
A: If you have to postpone your trip to Washington D.C., please let our office know immediately by calling 202-225-4231 so that we can make your reservations available to other constituents.
Q:What if I cannot get reservation for any of the tours I requested? Does this mean I will not be able to see these attractions?
A: Most of the tours that our office is able to request on your behalf also offer public tours! For more information on public tours visit the websites listed below:
