Internships

The internship program in Senator Burr’s Washington office consists of two semester-long sessions in the spring and fall, three sessions during the summer months. During their time in Washington, D.C., interns participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent services and conducting U.S. Capitol tours to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities Washington, D.C. offers. Applicants should be college students from the State of North Carolina, and preference is given to upperclassmen studying political science and history. Interns work in Senator Burr’s legislative office.  The nature of the work of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence prevents Senator Burr’s office from placing interns in his committee office.
