Bishop: Committee Accomplishments from 114th Congress Lays Foundation for Future Reform


WASHINGTON, D.C., January 5, 2017 -

Today, House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) released the following statement on the Committee’s accomplishments from the 114th Congress:

“For the past two years, our Committee developed new ideas and creative policies to solve problems and ennoble Americans. In some areas, the goal line was reached while in others the groundwork for future reform was laid. With a new administration that is willing to work with Congress and actually engage in problem solving, we have a tremendous opportunity to build upon these successes.”

Full Committee: At the onset of the 114th Congress, Chairman Bishop elevated the National Environmental Policy Act to the jurisdiction of the Full Committee and established a new subcommittee, the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
