Tour Requests

Tours of the White House are very popular and scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We generally advise constituents to request tours at least three months in advance. You have the option to request up to three potential dates for your tour. Tours are offered Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 am - 11 am; Friday, 7:30 am - 12 pm; and Saturday, 7:30 am - 1 pm. No tours are offered on Sunday or Monday. Tours requested for December, May, June, July, and August are most popular and fill up quickly. Please keep in mind that the White House only approves a small percentage of tours. White House tour requests require additional personal information such as name, date of birth, place of birth, and Social Security number. Please be prepared to provide this information for members of your tour party when the White House responds to your initial request. The White House tour is self-guided and includes the ceremonial rooms in the center of the White House and the East Wing. All White House tours are free of charge.  (Please note that White House tours may be subject to last minute cancellation.)

This is to help the constituents that are hard of hearing or use a video phone alert us to that fact so we can use the proper technology when we need to call them. The default option “Voice” is a normal audible telephone.
