Internships
My office is always looking for highly motivated college students interested in experiencing first-hand the legislative process as they participate in a competitive internship program assisting the constituents of the 6th Congressional District.
Washington, D.C. interns will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the constituent services staff members, as well as projects that involve the legislative and communications staff members.
West Chicago, IL interns also have an opportunity to experience the inner-workings of a local Congressional office through constituent services work and outreach event planning at my district office.
Interested candidates for the D.C. office should download and promptly submit the application as internships are limited. For D.O. internships, please review the student internship guide. We are happy to tailor start and end dates around academic schedules. Please adhere to the deadlines below:

All internships are unpaid. Spaces are limited so please send in your applications as soon as possible. However, interns can arrange to receive academic credit for work.
