House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is charged with oversight of the United States intelligence community, which includes the intelligence related activities of 17 elements of the U.S. Government, and the Military Intelligence Program.

Ranking Member, Subcommittee on the CIA
As Ranking Member, I am the top Democrat on the Subcommittee on the CIA. This newly established subcommittee is responsible for the oversight, policy, activities, and budget of the CIA.

House Judiciary Committee
The Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction over matters relating to the administration of justice in federal courts, administrative bodies, and law enforcement agencies.

Committee on Homeland Security
To serve on the Intelligence Committee, I have taken a leave of absence from the Homeland Security Committee.

Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
To serve on the Judiciary Committee, I gave up my seat on the Science Committee.

Party Leadership

Co-chair, Steering & Policy Committee
I was selected by Democratic Leader Pelosi and elected by my colleagues to help lead this committee, which sets the Democratic policy agenda and nominates Democratic Members for committee assignments.

Future Forum
I founded and chair the Future Forum, a group of young Democratic Members of Congress focused on issues and opportunities for millennial Americans. 

Democratic Policy & Communications Committee (DPCC)
I was selected to join the Policy & Communications Committee, which is tasked with developing a Caucus-wide message that forcefully communicates where House Democrats stand on issues to the American people. I am leading the committee’s outreach to millennial audiences.

United Solutions Caucus
Co-Chair
Immediately after being sworn into office for my first term, I co-founded the United Solutions Caucus, a bipartisan group of freshman Members committed to working together to advance common-sense solutions. We continue to regularly meet with thought leaders to discuss ways we can come together to address our country’s biggest challenges.

Congressional Soccer Caucus
Co-Chair
I am passionate about soccer as I have played my entire life and was able to attend and afford for college by earning an athletic scholarship to play Division 1 soccer. The mission of the soccer caucus is to encourage legislation, activities and events that promote soccer and issues affecting the greater soccer community, toward encouraging healthy and active lifestyles among America’s youth.

Sharing Economy Caucus
Co-Chair 
The emerging sharing economy is revolutionizing our economy and society, providing people more choice in terms of how they want to participate in the workforce or purchase goods and services.  I co-founded this caucus, along with Republican Rep. Darrell Issa, to provide a venue to explore how we can support the innovation behind the sharing economy and address the public policy challenges it presents.
