WashingtonToday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D | Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the controversial “Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny” or REINS Act.  The REINS Act is a radical proposal, which requires Congress to approve every major executive regulation.  Under this bill, several important environmental, public health, and consumer safety laws would be threatened.  Congressman Lieu voted against the legislation.
