CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE

Rep. Newhouse welcomes students in Washington’s 4th Congressional District to participate in the 2016 Congressional App Challenge, which will last through November 2nd, 2016. The Congressional App Challenge is open to all high school students in the 4th District of Washington, regardless of coding experience. Students are able to participate individually or in a group. Those interested in participating should visit the Congressional App Challenge website for more details.

Established in 2013, the Congressional App Challenge is a competition that aims at highlighting the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and encourages students to engage in these fields by creating applications for mobile, tablet or computer devices. By encouraging and recognizing our nation’s young programming talent, Congress hopes to shine a light on the growing importance of these skills.
