September 14, 2016 10:00 AM | 311 Cannon House Office Building
This hearing will examine the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) capabilities to identify and track foreign fighters and other bad actors attempting to enter the United States. We will also review how the Department shares intelligence across the components ranging from border security intelligence, aviation threats, refugee, asylum, and student visa vetting and how this is then shared with outside stakeholders to prevent attacks. The hearing will also examine the evolving challenges for DHS in this accelerated threat environment fifteen years post-9/11.
