INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Homeland Security Committee Majority Staff is seeking interns for the Summer Internship Program of 2017. Current law students are also welcome to apply for the Summer Legal Internship Program to work with our Legal Counsel.

All candidates should be hardworking, professional, and quick learners. Strong oral and written communication skills and a close attention to detail are required. Duties include assisting staff with substantive research projects, press matters, preparing for Committee hearings and markups, and the daily operation of the office. The Committee will provide DC Metro (WMATA) travel benefits.

To apply for a summer internship with the Homeland Security Committee, Republican Staff, please submit the following materials by March 3^rd, 2017:

• Current resume and cover letter
• 2 References
• A 500 word writing sample on one of the two topics below:
  • What do you see as the largest homeland security concern for President-Elect Trump to address?
  • Who is your favorite political figure and why?
