Since many constituents prefer to book their own tours, we have included information on how to do so. However, please note that constituent tours of the White House and U.S. Treasury must be requested through a congressional office.

Tours of the Capitol are available Monday through Saturday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Constituents are able to reserve their own tours online. If tours appear fully booked or you would prefer our office to organize one for you, please submit your request on this page.

The Bureau of Engraving & Printing is responsible for the design, engraving and printing of all U.S. paper currency, and on the tour you will see the currency production process.

The Bureau is open Monday through Friday with Visitor Center hours from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. The 40-minute tours begin every 15 minutes starting at 8:00 a.m.

Walk-up tickets can be picked up at the ticket booth, located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street). The booth will close once all tickets have been distributed. Our office can also request reserved tours about 3 months in advance. If you would like to reserve a tour please submit your request on this page.

In order to request a tour of The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, a security form must be filled out. Download the form here: BEP Tour request.doc. The completed form must include one group member’s first and last name, number in the party, date or date range available for the tour, and time or time range available. Once you have completed the form, please email it to MA06.tours@mail.house.gov. Please note that our office must receive this completed document before we can submit your request.
Residents of the 6th District may request White House tours through our office.

Tours are generally scheduled Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. Our office can request up to three specifics days for your tour, but not a specific time on those dates.

The White House grants tours on a first-come, first-serve basis and releases decisions about three weeks in advance of the requested date. The White House requires at least three weeks to process all requests, and we recommend submitting applications up to five or six months in advance in order to have the best chance of receiving a tour.

Requesting a White House tour requires several steps. First, fill out the request on this page. Then, download and complete this spreadsheet: White House Security Information Form.xls. Please send the completed spreadsheet in .xls format to MA06.tours@mail.house.gov.

Please pay careful attention to the prompts in the spreadsheet that explain how to format your birthday (MM/DD/YYY) and social security number (no dashes). Please make sure all guests are listed in alphabetical order – first by last name, and then by first name. Guests under the age of 18 and foreign nationals do not need to submit social security numbers, please leave those spaces blank. Please remember that if you are a citizen your answer should be “Y,” not YES and your country code should be US not USA.

Please note that our office must receive your completed security form via e-mail before we can submit your request. Also, for security reasons, all requested information is mandatory. You can not have a tour of the White House without providing all requested personal information. Feel free to call our Washington, D.C. office with any questions you may have.

Tours of the main U.S. Treasury Building must be requested through our office. Tours last approximately one hour and are offered only on Saturday mornings from March to December at 9:00, 9:45, 10:30 and 11:15 a.m.

Requesting a U.S. Treasury tour requires several steps. First, fill out the request on this page. Please send the completed spreadsheet in .xls format to MA06.tours@mail.house.gov.

Given the extremely limited number of tours available, we recommend completing requests at least three months in advance of your desired date.

The Washington Monument is open year-round, 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last tour beginning by 4:45 p.m. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the monument is open 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Free, same-day tickets can be picked up on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Washington Monument Lodge on 15th Street adjacent to the Monument.

You can also make advance reservations online, or we can make advance reservations for you up to one month in advance. In order for us to make advance reservations for you, you must submit your available dates in the form below. While we cannot request a specific time, we will work to ensure none of your tours conflict.
