Every spring, Congressman Moulton launches a district-wide Congressional Art Competition to discover and celebrate talented high school artists and their work. High school students from throughout the 6th Congressional District are invited to participate and exceptions may be made for schools that have 7th through 12th grades on one campus.

The winning artist has the distinction of having his or her artwork displayed in the corridors of our nation’s Capitol, on view for the many thousands of visitors who walk through the hall daily. The winner also has an opportunity to attend a special reception and meet with other similarly talented young artists at the unveiling of their works in Washington, D.C.

The Sixth District’s 2016 Congressional Art Competition was held on Saturday, March 5, at Montserrat College of Art. Congratulations to our winner, Emily Parker, of Essex! Information about the 2016-2017 Congressional Art Competition can be obtained in late fall from you student’s high school art teacher.
