Today, Representative Carlos Curbelo (FL-26) urged President-Elect Donald Trump to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and asked him to immediately take action upon assuming office. In total, 102 members of Congress signed onto the letter to Trump expressing support for the policy.

"During your campaign, you made a forceful pledge to move our American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which is the eternal capital of the Jewish people and the state of Israel," the members wrote. "We write to express support for this policy and urge you to take swift action to relocate our embassy to Jerusalem as soon as you take office."

"This action is all the more urgent in light of the anti-Israel Resolution 2334, adopted by the United Nations Security Council on December 23, 2016," they continued. "We hope that you will stand with Israel on this important issue, and we look forward to working with you in the years ahead on similar matters."

Last week, the House of Representatives adopted a Curbelo co-sponsored resolution condemning Obama's anti-Israel action at the U.N. Curbelo also condemned the Obama Administrations action on Twitter shortly following the Security Council vote.
