Veterans Resources
There are many resources available for veterans, active duty personnel and their families.
In addition to the resources listed below, my office may be able to help if you are having a problem with an issue relating to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Some examples of situations my office may be able to help with are: obtaining medals or ribbons, obtaining military records and checking the status of a claim for benefits. Benefits

- VA Disability Compensation Benefits
VA provides compensation to Veterans who are at least 10% disabled because of injuries or diseases that occurred or were aggravated during active military service. - VA Pension Benefits
The VA helps Veterans and their families cope with financial challenges by providing supplemental income through the Veterans Pension and Survivors' Pension benefit programs. - GI Bill
The Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill and other programs, such as Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA), deliver education benefits to veterans, active duty personnel and their families. - Dependent or Survivor Benefits
The VA offers a variety of benefits and services to spouses, children, and parents of Servicemembers and Veterans who are deceased or totally and permanently disabled by a service-connected disability. - Fiduciary Program
The VA Fiduciary Program protects the VA benefits paid to Veterans and other beneficiaries who are unable to manage their financial affairs. - Life Insurance
As part of the mission to serve Service members, Veterans, and their families, VA provides valuable life insurance benefits to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family is protected. VA's life insurance programs were developed to provide financial security for your family given the extraordinary risks involved in military service. - Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services This program assists Veterans with service-connected disabilities to prepare for, find, and keep suitable jobs. For Veterans with service-connected disabilities so severe that they cannot immediately consider work, this program offers services to improve their ability to live as independently as possible.
- VA Home Loans
This VA program helps Servicemembers, Veterans, and eligible surviving spouses become homeowners. VA can provide a home loan guaranty benefit and other housing-related programs to help you buy, build, repair, retain, or adapt a home for your own personal occupancy. VA Home Loans are provided by private lenders, such as banks and mortgage companies. VA guarantees a portion of the loan, enabling the lender to provide you with more favorable terms.
