Foreign Policy & National Defense
In today’s global economy, maintaining strong relationships with foreign nations is essential to our national economy and security. Our foreign policy must work to increase trade, promote economic growth, and advance democratic principles while protecting the health, safety, labor, and environmental rights of all nations.
I am proud to serve on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. As a member of the Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, I will work with my colleagues to advance the interests of the United States with our foreign neighbors.
As a member of the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade I’m working to advance our national security interests, and keep America safe. Protecting the hard-working men and women who serve on the front lines of America’s foreign policy and defense efforts is a responsibility I take seriously. America’s global image and national security directly affect every one of us. I’m committed to ensuring that our military and diplomatic servants have the best resources available to enhance America’s relationships with our international partners in order to successfully defend our nation’s core values, and promote the rights of people across the world.
