Tours and Tickets
If you are planning a visit to our nation's capital, my office can set up tours of the United States Capitol Building and the White House. We can also provide information about other attractions that do not require you to request tours.
Tours
All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. UNITED STATES CAPITOL BUILDING
The United States Capitol is open for tours Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tours begin with a 13-minute orientation film and are approximately one hour. If you need assistance regarding your Capitol tour, please fill out the tour request form below. Fields marked with an (*) are required. Once you have submitted your request, you will receive a response from my office.
THE WHITE HOUSE
My office can arrange tours of The White House for constituents visiting D.C. Self-guided tours are offered on a limited basis Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. If you would like to request a tour, it is recommended that you fill out the tour request form at least three months in advance of your scheduled trip to Washington, D.C. Requests cannot be made less than 21 days before the tour date, but can be submitted up to three months in advance of the tour date. Once you have submitted your request, you will receive a response from my office.
Please note that while every effort will be made to accommodate your tour request, The White House offers a limited number of tours and can fill up months in advance, particularly during the spring and summer months and during holiday times.
Once you have submitted your Tour Request Form, my staff will contact you with a link to the online White House security form. If you have questions regarding tours, please email NJ08.Tours@mail.house.gov. Please note that the tour request form must be received before your request can be processed.
OTHER POPULAR TOURS
LIBRARY OF CONGRESS
The Library’s primary function is to make all information published and recorded readily available to both the general public and Members of Congress. The Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress, located at the corner of 1st Street and Independence Avenue SE, shares the story of the Library’s history and collections. Tours of the Thomas Jefferson Building are available Monday through Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., however, there is no 3:30 p.m. tour on Saturdays. These free tours are open to individuals and groups of fewer than 10 participants do not require a reservation. Groups of 10 through 60 can reserve private tours with advance notice by contacting the Visitor Services Office, or calling 202-707-0919.

SUPREME COURT
The Supreme Court is the final authority for the Judicial Branch of the U.S. government and offers exhibits and lectures detailing historic events on a rotating basis over the course of the year. The Supreme Court building is located at the corner of 1st St. NE and East Capitol, directly across from the Capitol building. The Supreme Court is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lectures are held in the courtroom every hour, on the half hour, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when the Court isn’t sitting. Admittance to join is decided on a first-come, first-served basis. The Court is closed during all federal holidays, and Court hours can change based on the business in front of the court.

BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing allows visitors the opportunity to watch money print on the presses and learn about our currency. The ticket booth for tours of the BEP is located on Raoul Wallenberg Place in Washington, D.C. Tours are approximately forty minutes long and include an introductory film, as well as a tour of the gallery in the production process. The visitor center at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing includes exhibits and currency products for sale. The BEP is closed on weekends, all Federal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.

PENTAGON
The Pentagon serves as the headquarters of the Department of Defense and the center of the center of the U.S. military command. Group tours of the Pentagon are available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and last approximately 60 minutes. The Pentagon is located in Arlington, Virginia.

THE KENNEDY CENTER
The Kennedy Center tours are offered daily, free of charge and feature an inside look into the Center’s Hall of States Hall of Nations, five of the Center's main theaters and an interactive exhibit on the life and presidency of John F. Kennedy. The Kennedy Center is located at 2700 F Street, NW.

NATIONAL ARCHIVES
The National Archives Experience is home of the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. The National Archives Experience is open every day except Thanksgiving and December 25. During spring and summer (March 15 through Labor Day) the museum is open 10 am to 7 pm, while in the fall and winter (day after Labor Day through March 14) hours are 10 am to 5:30 pm. Reservations are not required for individuals or groups wishing to enter the National Archives Experience through the general public entrance. National Archives Building is located between 7th and 9th Streets, NW, with entrances on Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues.

DEPARTMENT OF STATE
The Diplomatic Reception Rooms of the Department of State, which are used for official functions hosted by the Secretary of State and other high level government officials, are open for pre-arranged tours at no charge. These rooms hold a premier collection of 18th century American furniture, paintings and decorative arts. Guided tours are conducted weekdays at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 2:45 pm. Tours are 45 minutes in duration. Reservations are required and should be made approximately 90 days in advance, due to the large volume of requests. This is a fine arts tour; it is not a recommended tour for children under the age of 12.

FBI EDUCATIONAL CENTER
The Education Center is open Monday through Thursday during normal business hours. The FBI requires 3 to 4 weeks advance notice from Congressional offices prior to your visit. The visit itself will take two hours and you should arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled visit. Prior to your visit to the FBI Education Center, the FBI will perform a security check using information such as your name, date of birth, and Social Security number.
