What a day! Thrilled to celebrate Startup Day Across America, an event I launched on a bipartisan basis with my good friend Congressman Jared Polis to hear from local startups about the challenges they're facing and how Congress can help support their efforts to create jobs and grow the economy.

This year, I had a great time touring local companies like Belching Beaver, Airbitz and The Control Group, talking about how legislation like the Small BREWS Act (which reduces excise taxes on brewing), the JOBS Act (which makes it easier for startups to raise capital) and the Protect and Grow American Jobs Act (which helps companies retain the best and brightest talent) will help startups expand and create jobs all across San Diego.
