The federal government should protect and grow the middle class, not squeeze it further with “one-size-fits-all” policies.
I am dedicated to expanding South Florida’s middle class by removing obstacles to economic growth and the creation of well-paying, stable jobs. Now more than ever, middle class families are also being weighed down by an ever-increasing tax and regulatory burden.
We must reduce taxes on families and small businesses, ease the regulatory burden on the businesses that provide middle class jobs, eliminate restrictions to the flow of capital that keeps small businesses from hiring more workers, and bring down our record national debt that only promises huge future tax increases and less federal assistance for those who truly need it.
I am committed to taking every sensible step to help spur job creation and get our economy back on track so that middle class Americans can enjoy the fruits of their labors. The federal government should protect and grow the middle class, not squeeze it further with “one-size-fits-all” policies.
We also need to help American businesses and workers compete in an increasingly global economy. We must work together to help clear the way for long-term economic growth that will produce jobs here in South Florida and throughout our great country. Washington needs to cut the red tape and allow American workers to do what they do best: out-compete the rest of the world by making the best products at the most reasonable cost.
Innovation is the spark that made the American economy the envy of the world, but our progress has slowed over the last several years. The federal government should foster investment in research and development, and free businesses from the bureaucratic hurdles that stifle innovation. We need to harness American ingenuity once again to create new, stable jobs, and establish the foundation for another century of strong economic growth in the United States.
