CONGRESSMAN PITTENGER SWORN IN FOR THIRD TERM
Focused on Health Care and Tax Reform, Jobs, National Security

WASHINGTON – This afternoon, Congressman Robert Pittenger was sworn in for his third term representing North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District, which now includes Mecklenburg, Union, Anson, Richmond, Scotland, Robeson, Bladen, and Cumberland counties.

“My number one priority is providing outstanding constituent service.  Last term, my expert staff helped nearly 3,000 local residents with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans benefits, passports, IRS, and other federal red tape.  We are excited to bring this high level of service to the new communities of the Ninth Congressional District,” said Congressman Pittenger.

“In Washington, I am focused on advancing truly affordable health care reform, making our tax code simpler and fairer for every American, rolling back unnecessary regulations which have killed job growth, and strengthening our efforts to defeat radical Islamic terrorism.  With a unified Republican government, we have great opportunity to do good things for hardworking Americans and secure our country.”
