Visiting DC

My office is happy to help you plan your visit to our nation's capital! Washington, DC offers a number of historical, architectural, and natural treasures, and it's a great place to come to learn about our nation's history and get an up close and personal view of our political process and Congress in action!

My office is pleased to offer tickets for select tours to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. For more information on other sightseeing and attractions, please visit my Additional Info for Washington DC Visitors page.

Our office can submit a tour request to the White House for a self-guided tour of the ceremonial rooms and the East Wing.  Unfortunately, due to high demand, the White House only approves a small percentage of tours. The White House schedules tours on a first-come, first-serve basis so we recommend requesting as many dates as possible, as early as possible. We cannot request a particular time, but we can rank dates in order of preference.
You may submit your request up to three months in advance, but no later than 3 weeks prior to your desired tour dates. The White House schedules tours approximately two weeks before the requested date so please keep that in mind when planning your trip.

Tours Times: 7:30 am – 11:30 am, Tuesday –  Thursday, and 7:30 am – 1:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays. No tours are offered on Sunday and Monday. Certain dates, such as federal holidays, are excluded, and all tours are subject to last-minute cancellation.

What are these options?
This is to help the constituents that are hard of hearing or use a video phone alert us to that fact so we can use the proper technology when we need to call them. The default option “Voice” is a normal audible telephone.
