Iran Deal Cannot Stand

The preeminent issue currently facing Congress is review of the Obama administration’s deal with Iran.  While so much of what goes on in Washington is frivolous, the Iran debate will be a seminal moment.  It may well be the most important vote that members of Congress take throughout the durations of their careers.

Congressman DeSantis was the first member of Congress to speak out against the deal on the House floor shortly after the deal was announced.  Watch his speech by clicking here.

This is less a deal than it is a list of concessions to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

The deal injects billions of dollars into the coffers of the world’s leading state-sponsor of terrorism, legitimizes Iran’s vast nuclear program, and fails to include the “anytime, anywhere” inspections that have long been considered a bare minimum requirement for any acceptable deal.

What is more, the deal lifts the international sanctions off of Qassem Soleimani and the Quds Force, who were responsible of killing hundreds of Americans during the Iraq campaign. That is a gratuitous insult to the lives and memories of those who served in Iraq in defense of our nation.

By paving Iran's path to a nuclear weapon, the deal harms American national security and effectively stabs our close ally Israel, which Iran has threatened to wipe off the map, in the back. Watch Congressman DeSantis speak out against the nuclear deal on Fox News by clicking here.

Congressman DeSantis voted the kill the deal.
