Congressman Roger Williams

Representing the 25th District of Texas

Internships

Application Deadlines:

Spring Internships - November 11, 2016

Washington, DC:

Internships in my Washington, DC office run throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters. Although all internships in my offices are unpaid, students gain invaluable work experience. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules but generally run 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when Congress is in session, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when in recess.

In Washington, interns will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff and attend hearings and briefings. As a result, interns will learn about the legislative process and the many functions of a congressional office.
