On Monday, March 25, I toured Askinosie Chocolate, a local chocolate manufacturer in Springfield. A growing economy needs a strong small business and manufacturing sector. On Thursday, March 28, I spoke at the Table Rock Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Branson West. I gave them an update about what is happening in our nation's capital. On Friday, March 29, I spoke at the Daybreak Rotary in Joplin. I gave them an update about what is happening in our nation's capital. On April 29th I was honored to have the opportunity to meet with veterans in Monett. On April 29th I was honored to have the opportunity to meet with veterans in Monett. On April 30th I spoke to the Springfield Rotary Club. On May 2nd I visited General Dynamics in Carthage and had an opportunity to meet their employees. On May 2nd I received the National Association of Manufacturers Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. On August 21, 2014 Ambassador Umarov of Kazakhstan and I toured Brewer Science in Springfield. On August 22, 2014 Ambassador Umarov of Kazakhstan and I met with representatives at K&S Wire in Neosho. On August 29, 2014 I had a great time learning about emus during a visit to Back Country Naturals in Sparta. The Emu ranch was one of the most interesting stops we've had on any agriculture tour. On August 29, 2014 we had another successful agriculture tour stop at Pinegar Limousin Cattle Ranch in Springfield. On August 29, 2014 toured 7Cs Winery in Walnut Grove, a great agriculture related business in the district. On September 4, 2014, I participated in a roundtable discussion about the impact of banking regulations on businesses and their customers. On September 5, 2014, I toured Cox Monett Critical Access. I appreciate the good work the hospital does for Southwest Missourians. On November 10, 2014, I toured the cardiovascular unit at CMH in Bolivar. Rep. Long with Jon Harder (Spring 2012, Springfield) Kevin Robertson is from Nixa, Missouri, and is a Freshman at Missouri State University. Kevin wants to be involved in the community when he graduates. (Spring 2012, Springfield) Maria DeMesa is from Springfield, Missouri. (Fall 2011, Springfield) Hilary Dempsey grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and will graduate from Missouri State University in the Spring with a political science degree. She will be attending graduate school within the next year. (Fall 2011, Springfield) Martin Plute is a Freshman at Missouri State University studying Political Science. Martin hopes to work in International Relations and Counter Terrorism after graduating. (Summer 2011, Springfield) Taylor Westby is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a Junior at Drury University. He plans on being commissioned as an Officer in the Marine Corps after graduation. (Summer 2011, Springfield) Ali Haseltine was born and raised in Springfield, MO and is a Senior at the University of Virginia. Future plans include grad school. (Summer 2011, DC) Justin Haseltine was born and raised in Springfield, MO and graduated from Duke University in the spring of 2011. He is attending Cornell Medical School in the fall.
