The site also includes travel tips and maps to help make your trip a safe and memorable visit to the Nation’s Capitol.
White House Tours
The White House offers tours from Tuesday through Saturday. Although we cannot guarantee a tour of the White House, we will be happy to submit a request on your behalf. White House Tours must be applied for at least 20 days in advance.
Capitol Tours
Capitol tours are offered Monday through Saturday from 8:50 AM to 3:20 PM and begin in the Capitol Visitor's Center. To request a tour, please fill out the information below. When you submit a tour request, please include your available tour dates, expected number of guests, phone number and email address. Reservations are required for Capitol tours, so please make your tour request at least three to four weeks in advance.
If you have made reservations through our office, please arrive no later than 30 minutes before your tour time. Backpacks, large purses, food items, aerosols, weapons and any liquids are prohibited in the Capitol and Capitol Visitors Center. We will be glad to hold prohibited items in our office for you while you enjoy your Capitol tour.
