Norton Announces Lottery to Distribute Inauguration Tickets, Tomorrow

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced that her office will hold a lottery drawing tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., in 2136 Rayburn House Office Building, to determine recipients of the Congresswoman’s allotted tickets to attend the 58th Presidential Inauguration.  A member of the District of Columbia National Guard will draw names.  After receiving more requests than the amount of tickets allotted to her office, Norton’s office set up a system for D.C. residents to sign up for and enter their names into the lottery pool.  Winners of the lottery will be notified within 24 hours after the drawing has concluded.

Members of the press are invited to attend a photo opportunity at the beginning of the ticket drawing.
