Caucus Membership for 114th Congress

 

 

Mission: To focus on issues related to women including health, business, violence, education, and international issues that affect women of color, young women, and women currently or previously serving in the military.

 

 

Mission: To educate members of Congress and their staff about Down syndrome. The Caucus supports legislative activities that would improve Down syndrome research, education and treatment, and promote public policies that would enhance the quality of life for those with Down syndrome. 

 

 

Mission: To help grow hockey participation and review the potential policy implications as they pertain to academics, health and wellness, and veteran's rehabilitation.

 

 

Mission: The mission of the Caucus is to work toward the extension of equal rights, the repeal of discriminatory laws, the elimination of hate-motivated violence, and the improved health and well being for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

 

 

Mission: To recognize the importance of this industry to our economy and how it generates jobs and revenue in every Congressional District across the country.  

 

 

Mission: The COPC provides a forum where members can offer solutions, build support and bring together lawmakers, organizations, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to find concrete solutions to end poverty in America.

 

 

Mission: To help support a critical link between our Service members and their Representatives

 

 

Mission: The bipartisan caucus aims to bring attention to the critical need for literacy services for the estimated 32 million adults in the country who have below-basic reading skills.

 

 

Mission: The new Caucus will concentrate on reinforcing federal investment in research and the national laboratories, as well as raise awareness in and out of Congress about the role they play in long-term economic growth.

 

 

Mission: NASW works to enhance the professional growth and developmentof social workers; to create and maintain standards for the social work profession; and to advance sound social policies that support the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

 

 

 Mission: The members of the Urban Caucus intend to foster discussion about the health of the nation's metropolitan areas through policy forums, legislative proposals, and advocacy.

 

 

 Mission: The Congressional HIV/AIDS Caucus consists of a bipartisan group of Members of Congress who are committed to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic, improving the lives of those infected with the disease, and ensuring that everyone is             informed and knows their status.

 

 

 Mission: The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the only full-service professional organization representing the interests of the nation's 3.1 million registered nurses through its constituent and state nurses associations and its organizational affiliates. The ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the rights of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.

 

 

Mission: The Congressional Public Service Caucus is a bipartisan, bicameral Member organization committed to building public and congressional support for a well-trained, high-performing federal workforce and advancing policies that will help the government attract and retain talented Americans.

 

 

Mission: The mission of the task force is to prevent gun violence while still respecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

 

 

Mission: The lawmakers founded the caucus to further awareness in Congress about the needs of America 's national parks.

 

 

Mission: The Friends of Switzerland Caucus serves as a forum to promote discussion and cultural exchange between the United States and Switzerland.

 

 

Mission: The Congressional Veterans Jobs Caucus was launched as a abipartisan, bicameral effort to help the 857,000 veterans in our nation who are unemployed. 

 

 

Mission: The goal of the task force is to enhance the coordination and alignment of federal, state, and local anti-poverty programs to maximize the impact of every federal dollar in the fight against poverty, strengthen federal oversight of anti-poverty programs by improving how the United States measures and evaluates the impact of anti-poverty programs, as well as the long term economic outcomes of the Americans who receive assistance; and remove barriers and obstacles that prevent low-income Americans from joining the middle class.
