Internships

As a service to constituents, both the Warwick and Washington offices run an internship program for service-minded individuals interested in learning about the legislative process. Interns gain first-hand experience in the daily functions of the office, participating in general office support and interacting with all members of the staff. Responsibilities range from sorting mail and answering phones to attending staff briefings, performing legislative research, assisting constituents and giving US Capitol tours. A Congressional internship is a unique way to gain insight into federal policy while serving the community.

Participants in the internship program must be available to work at least 10 hours per week. Previous work experience is not necessary; however, the applicant must display the high level of diligence, responsibility, and professionalism appropriate to a Congressional office.

If you are interested in interning for either of my offices and would like to learn more about the application process, please fill out the form below. A member of my staff will reach out to you with additional information.
