Congressman Leonard Lance

Representing the 7th District of New Jersey

PennEast Pipeline Project

Congressman Leonard Lance opposes the proposed PennEast pipeline project, and as a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee he is best situated to work with New Jersey’s two U.S. Senators, the congressional delegation, state and local elected officials as well as concerned citizens in opposition to the project.

Here are some recent examples where Leonard Lance has stated his opposition to the project publicly:

  •          “The bravery of citizens standing up to corporate power must be matched by political leaders who are also willing to speak truth to power. Affected citizens appreciate congressional leaders from Pennsylvania and New Jersey like Reps. Matt Cartwright, Leonard Lance, Bonnie Watson Coleman and Mike Fitzpatrick, who have pressed regulators along the way, but the lack of leadership from Gov. Wolf's administration is telling.”  http://www.mcall.com/opinion/yourview/mc-gas-pipelines-fracking-pennsylvania-zrinski-yv-0722-20160721-story.html
