• One of 29 Republicans to vote support President Obama’s 2014 executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of “sexual orientation and gender identity” in their private employment policies (Roll Call Vote #226, 5/19/16).

• One of 42 Republicans to vote support President Obama’s 2014 executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of “sexual orientation and gender identity” in their private employment policies (Roll Call Vote #258, 5/25/16).

• One of just three Republicans to vote for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to help victims of wage discrimination (Roll Call Vote #37, 1/27/09).

• One of 18 Republicans to vote for the Hate Crimes Prevention Act to expand federal hate-crime law to include crimes motivated by a victim's actual or perceived gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability (Roll Call Vote #223, 4/29/09).

• One of 87 Republicans to support the renewal of the federal Violence Against Women Act (Roll Call Vote #55, 2/28/13).

• One of just seven Republicans to cosponsor the Equal Rights Amendment (H.J.Res. 52).
