River Valley Workforce Investment Board
The River Valley Workforce Investment Board is a key player in the economic growth and competitiveness of the River Valley and surrounding region. Established under a 1998 Federal law called the Workforce Investment Act, the Board has a mandate to create a workforce development system that meets the needs of area employers for qualified workers, and expands the employment opportunities available to area job seekers. As a non-profit corporation, the Board seeks resources beyond the Act to achieve the goals set.

McHenry County Workforce Investment
Located across from the Government Center at 500 Russel Court in Woodstock, McHenry County Workforce Network has a variety of programs and services for employers and job seekers seeking assistance in meeting the challenges of today's job market. We are an affiliate of Illinois workNet, which is a consolidated effort to provide a one-stop system for employment related services in McHenry County and part of a nation-wide, grant-funded system.

The Workforce Investment Board of Will County plays a key role in the economic development of our County. Experience Works
Experience Works helps low-income seniors, with multiple barriers to employment, get the training they need to find good jobs in their local communities. Experience Works is a national, charitable, community-based organization. Originally named Green Thumb, and chartered in 1965 as a small, rural demonstration program, Experience Works has grown to be the nation’s leading provider of training, employment, and community service for low-income older people. Only available in Kendall and DeKalb Counties.
