eBenefits

Did you know there is a secure, joint Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)-Department of Defense (DoD), self-service web portal, eBenefits, which provides online information and access to a wide variety of military and Veteran benefits resources? Whether you are or know a Servicemember, Veteran, or their family member, eBenefits is a good online resource for VA and DoD benefits information and services. Registered users can apply for numerous benefits online, view the status of their claims, get personalized VA and DoD information, and much more. Register for a free Premium eBenefits Account at www.ebenefits.va.gov.

VA is making it easier and quicker for you to file a claim for and start receiving disability compensation benefits. The Fully Developed Claims (FDC) Program lets you digitally upload all of your service medical records, medical evidence from private providers, and other information to start the process. FDCs are processed by VA in less than half the time required to process traditional claims. VA strongly encourages you to work with a Veterans service organization (VSO) to file your FDC and can help you find a nearby VSO representative.

More information on FDCs is available at: www.benefits.va.gov/FDC. You can start filing an FDC or choose a VSO representative by registering for a free premium account on the VA-DoD web portal, eBenefits, by visiting www.ebenefits.va.gov. Registered users can apply for numerous other benefits online, view the status of their claims, get personalized VA and DoD information, and much more.
