Military Academy Nominations

As a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, I have the honor and privilege of nominating several outstanding young men and women to our nation’s military service academies. If you are a resident of Colorado’s Sixth Congressional District, between the ages of 17 and 23 (25 for the Merchant Marine Academy), a U.S. citizen and are single with no dependents, you can seek a nomination to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and U.S. Naval Academy.

To begin the nomination process, please complete my Service Academy Nomination Application Form and compose a formal letter and return both via e-mail, fax or standard mail. Please ensure that those two items as well as school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores and three recommendation forms arrive at my office no later than 5:00 PM Mountain Time on Friday, October 7, 2016. For your convenience, you can send a single page Applicant Recommendation Form to your recommenders. Several weeks after the application deadline, interviews will be held at my office. You will be contacted individually for your assigned time slot.
