Americans must be allowed to develop American energy and end our reliance on imported oil. The United States must have an "all of the above strategy" when it comes to developing our energy resources. This includes renewable energies such as wind, solar, bio fuels, and hydro power. We must also increase our use of nuclear power. America's natural gas, oil and coal reserves should be used as a bridge until more cost effective substitutes can be produced.

U.S. Senators Chris Coons and Jerry Moran are leading a bipartisan effort to reintroduce tax code legislation aimed at leveling the playing field for renewable energy investment. The Master Limited Partnerships Parity Act would enable renewable energy investors to share in tax advantages presently available only to fossil fuel investors.
Fourteen Republican members of Congress on Monday urged FERC to quickly finish its environmental review of the proposed Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project along the south-central coast of Oregon. They called the project the only outlet to overseas markets for gas produced in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah.
US Senator John Barrasso and 13 other lawmakers from Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, have called on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to support the Jordan Cove LNG export project.
The group has asked that the FERC complete the final environmental impact statement (EIS) for the project as soon as possible.
(Washington, D.C.) Today, I voted in favor of, and the House passed, H.R. 5682, a bill that if enacted will immediately allow TransCanada to construct the Keystone XL pipeline. I hope that the Senate will take up this important bipartisan legislation next week and that the President will immediately sign it into law. By approving Keystone XL now, we can improve our economy, bolster our national security, and reassert our standing in the world as nations can rely on us rather than depend on despotic rulers for their energy supply.
U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner, seeking to unseat incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, defended hydraulic fracturing as a job creator and said bans of the practice would kill thousands of jobs “overnight” in a visit to Durango on Sunday.
Congressman Cory Gardner has written a letter to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee expressing concern that a Dept. of Interior nominee up for a confirmation vote Thursday is anti-natural gas.
That letter, obtained by FOX31 Denver Wednesday evening, is addressed to the committee chairwoman, Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-Louisiana — but it’s really meant to send a message to Sen. Mark Udall, the Democrat Gardner is challenging this November.
