Youth Advisory Council

The Third District Youth Advisory Council is a forum for high school juniors and seniors to discuss opinions, thoughts, and concerns with me about local and federal issues throughout the school year. This group provides students the opportunity to discuss the concerns of young Nebraskans and provide their input on issues facing our country.

Membership is open to high school students who are:

  • Seniors and juniors
  • Willing to serve for one school year (August to June)
  • Have submitted an application for consideration

The Youth Advisory Council meets through in-person meetings, Facebook forums, and conference calls. Students are expected to actively participate in discussions and meetings. Applications for the 2016-2017 Council are now closed.

For more information about the Youth Advisory Council or to request an application, interested students and educators should contact my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-6435. An application can also be downloaded below.
